Many Companies Still Use Cobol in Their Mainframes
Cobol is common for Business-Oriented Language. This is a programming language that has been around since the early 60′s. However, it is still used by many large companies. Why stay with companies Cobol, where there are several object-oriented languages focus more powerful?
One reason is that for an entire system is very expensive re-architecting. I think you have to hire programmers who know Cobol language and the code will be “translated” from. These programmers are hard to find and will not be cheap!
